This session is a chance to chat with some of the editors and authors of a newly released volume that weaves together field-based research, personal narrative, and education theory. This work is based on the principle that equitable STEM education rejects deficit thinking and is community relevant. It builds pathways to learning; creates a culture of questioning and transparency; celebrates diversity of thought, habit and culture; and embraces a social justice stance.
