Argument-Driven Inquiry in Grades 3-5
Learn about Argument-Driven Inquiry and how it can help elementary school students learn how to use core ideas, crosscutting concepts, and scientific practices to explain natural phenomena. This instructional approach also gives students an opportunity to learn how to read, write, and speak in the context of science. The session includes a short hands-on demonstration lab investigation.

Energy in Action - How Does Energy Move and Change?
How is energy transferred between objects or systems? Participants will make observations to provide evidence that energy can be transferred from place to place by sound, light, heat, and electricity, and construct an explanation that uses evidence to support the claim that energy can move and change. Aligns to Colorado Science Academic Standards for Grade 4 Standard 1. Physical Science and Grade level Expectations.
